What does a standard EV charger installation include?
Standard installation for residential properties cover *excluding apartments*
- RCBO Type A protection device in the existing utility panel box
- Cable run up to 15m
- Isolation Switch
- The EV Charger will be fully tested and certified as operational
Any non-standard variations will be at the customers expense. This may include switchboard modifications, upgrades, trenching, additional enclosures and longer cable runs, among other items.
What are the assumptions for a standard installation?

Does the charging speed vary?
- Yes, the charging speed can differ based on available power, your vehicle, charging equipment, and local regulations. Some states (QLD and SA) have a limit on maximum charging rates while others (NSW, VIC, WA, TAS and ACT) don’t.
What else do I need to know about the IQ Home Solar?
- The IQ Home Solar comes in both single-phase and three-phase making it compatible with all EVs in Australia. The charger has three modes (Solar Only, Solar Assist and Fast Mode which utilises energy from the grid). With OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 capability, the IQ Home Solar seamlessly integrates with your phone for real-time monitoring and analysis.
